CAN data logger
An ECU under development was acquiring measurement data and logging them with a plugable module which
stored data on a dedicated CF card. During the further development it turned out that an integrated
module was no longer feasible. But our customer was still in need of collecting the data during the
series tests.
As a solution, we developed a CAN data logger module which stores CAN data packets on a MicroSD card.
The module is with 1.4" x 1.4" x 0.2" (35mm x 35mm x 4.5mm) very compact and with a
self-adhesive thermal pad easy to install.
The power is supplied directly from vehicle power with an input voltage range of 5V-30V. In addition the
ignition signal is recognized. A power-hold circuit allows to record values after switching off the ignition.
The module powers down automatically after a specified time.
A diagnostics software converts the files stored on the card based on MDF files into different formats.
Another program allows reading the stored data over the CAN bus. This is not a solution for large amounts of data
but allows the installation of the modules in a sealed case.
The standard version is intended for installation in a ECU case but we can offer a case as well.

Crankshaft/Camshaft sensor simulator
Crankshaft/Camshaft sensors in a vehicle are used with different kinds of encoder wheels. Our simulator
generates the different signals out of one optical rotary encoder signal without pulse losses even
with excessive rotation direction changes.
We use a programmable logic device that can be operated via configuration switches in various modes.
The device is used on test benches of automotive suppliers working together with several car manufacturers.
